Paint perfection or unrivalled protection. We offer a range of paint finishes across classic car chassis, as well as full restorations and repairs. The perfect restoration starts from the bottom up.
The chassis of a vehicle can often go overlooked when restoring the body and paintwork. These metal frames provide the main structure to which all other components are attached and can therefore require just as much attention as the body.
At Peacock Prestige we offer a range of services to fully restore your vehicle’s chassis. This includes our purpose made chassis jig, metalwork & fabrication, anti-corrosion treatment and even decorative finishes.
We ensure every chassis subject to our full restoration service is straight, structurally sound and sufficiently protected.
Painting is an effective way of protecting chassis against the harsh conditions of the roads below. Whether you’re looking for a concours finish or ultimate protection, Peacock Prestige are here to help.
A popular service we provide is our decorative paint finishes on vehicle chassis. Available in Gloss, Satin, Matt and even Metallic paint finishes, this is a popular choice for customers building concours vehicles or looking for aesthetic perfection.
We are also proud to offer industrial paint coatings in a wide range of colours and finishes. These coatings are designed to withstand the harshest of conditions, ensuring your vehicle is protected for years to come.
At Peacock Prestige, we have built a renowned reputation in Classic & Sports Car restoration and paint finishing. Our extensive workshop space of over 7000 square feet holds all of the tools, skills and knowledge to have your classic car chassis looking better than the day it left the showroom.
From full Nut & Bolt Restorations to Colour Changes, our chassis restoration is of the utmost premium quality. We strive to be at the top of anybody’s list for Classic & Sports Car Paint Finishing and restoration services anywhere in the world.
Paint has always been our number one at Peacock Prestige. Our bodyshop has a renowned reputation for some of the best automotive paint and body work in the country, if not the world. We offer a range of paint services from complete jobs to minor repairs.
So why not treat your classic car chassis to the same treatment? We put the same car and attention into every job on every project.
Every chassis is first thoroughly steam cleaned & degreased before being loaded onto our purpose-built jig. We can then inspect the chassis, checking for proper alignment, and identify any alterations which may be required.
We then send the chassis for shot blasting at our sister-company, further revealing the overall condition of the chassis whilst removing any old coatings and corrosion. Our team will then carry out any required welding & fabrication works, before sending for a second course of shot blasting if needed.
The shot blasting process provides the perfect surface for a durable 2K epoxy primer to properly adhere. This is one of the most affective ways to treat a metal surface against potential rust and corrosion.
We will then finalise the chassis with a durable top coat in a paint finish of your choice. Any areas where we are unable to paint are treated with an injection of anti-corrosive wax, ensuring your chassis is completely protected for many years to come.
A vehicle chassis, or vehicle frame, is the main supporting structure of a motor vehicle to which all other components are attached, comparable to the skeleton of an organism.
Until the 1930s, virtually every car had a structural frame separate from its body. This construction design is known as body-on-frame. This means many of the vehicles that pass through our bodyshop here at Peacock Prestige have a chassis that is eligible for our chassis restoration services.
Unibody construction in passenger cars had become common by the 1960s, and the trend to unibody for passenger cars continued over the ensuing decades. However, many motorsport oriented vehicles and kit cars continue to favour a space frame or a tube frame chassis.
Whilst cars have moved away from traditional chassis – even today nearly all trucks, buses, and even pickup trucks continue to use a separate frame as their chassis.
Disassembly and assembly of vehicle components can prove difficult, especially on older vehicles. At Peacock Prestige we offer a full fitting service so that you can bring your car to us and even drive it back out again when we’re done.
We can strip the vehicle down, extract the chassis for restoration and then build everything back up. The perfect restoration.
As part of our Classic Car Chassis Restoration Services we offer Metal Fabrication services. From simple cutting and welding to panel fabricating. We have all of the necessary jigs, cutters, tools and experienced professionals to carry out the work required.
